The CEREC 3 AC camera scans the prepared tooth in just a few seconds. This eliminates the need for unpleasant silicone impressions.
No temporaries
CEREC restorations are milled out of a solid ceramic block on site in one appointment. They are then ready to be placed immediately. This eliminates the need for temporary crowns. And you don't have to wait two to three weeks for your restoration to return from the lab.
No long waiting periods
Because CEREC restorations can be placed immediately, you need only one appointment. And you benefit from tooth restorations which have demonstrated their durability time and time again.
The CEREC procedure, step by step:
1.
After removing the decayed tissue and preparing the tooth's remaining structure, we create a 3D image of the tooth with the aid of the CEREC camera.
2.
The restoration is designed by Dr. Armstrong as you watch on the CEREC AC acquisition unit.
3.
The CEREC milling unit machines the restoration out of a single ceramic block, matched to your teeth's natural shade.
4.
The milled restoration is bonded directly to your tooth, creating a tooth that is, in many cases, stronger than your natural tooth.
