Armstrong is dedicated to his patients' care through lifelong learning.
Dr. Armstrong is licensed by the Ohio State Dental Board and is a member of the American Dental Association, the American Academy of Forensic Science, the American Society of Forensic Odontology, the American Association of Dental Boards, the Ohio Dental Association, Western Ohio Dental Society, Dayton Dental Society, and the Dayton Dental Society Mass Disaster Response Team.
He is an examiner for the Commission on Dental Competency Assessments (CDCA), and also serves on the board of directors as its treasurer. Dr. Armstrong is a forensic odontologist for the Montgomery County Coroner's Office, and is a past member of the National Disaster Medical System with DMORT, Region 5. He is a delegate in the Ohio Dental Association and has worked on numerous committees and task forces within the Association. Dr. Armstrong was appointed to the Ohio State Dental Board by Governor Taft in 2004, and served as its president in 2009.
Dr. Armstrong was selected by the New York City Office of the Chief Medical Examiner to assist in victim identification in the 9-11 World Trade Center Disaster, and assisted victims of Hurricane Katrina by taking a mobile dental office to Louisiana and working on emergency and urgent care patients.
He was awarded the Ohio Dental Association Marvin Fisk Humanitarian Award in 2006, and was inducted into the Pierre Fauchard Academy, and the International College of Dentists, both in 2004.
Dr. Armstrong and his wife Cameron reside in Troy and have four children: Andy Jane, William, Jackson, and Calvin.
